Several blocks turn into ghost blocks when placed

The two blocks which I have seen effected are slime blocks and comparators. Comparators stopped receiving redstone signals from command blocks even in loaded chunks with /ticking areas specified. Slime blocks were placed down quickly and some did not give the effect which I had a command set up to do, after re-logging, the ghost blocks disappeared.
