Render distance max is now only 6?

Hello, before these updates my max render distance was at 22. Now my max render distance will not go past 6. I've had this bug close to 3 weeks now and would really appreciate it if it can get fixed, having a max render distance of 6 is extremely pathetic when playing survival or creative
