2nd players inventory disappears

When the 2nd player joins my world on split screen, his inventory and armour completely disappears, and he starts back at the spawn point. But it doesn’t happen all the time, he might join and his inventory will be there, but every 3rd time or so he joins, this bug will happen, it’s really frustrating.
