Expanding map issue

Hi this is the first time I am writing this and reporting this. On my old save before the Better Together update, I had no problem expanding the large world on creative, but since the update, I am unable to expand the map anymore I can only have one map, I cant make new one for when I am outside of the edge. It only come up the same map as the one I already have. I am building a massive town and I need maps to see where I am when I am outside of the edge. Thanks.
