Furnaces don't work. Almost no ores.

The furnace doesn't work in this update. You can put what you are trying to burn inside, but you can't put the thing you are burning it with inside. And I have it on easy and I've been mining for like 30 minutes and haven't found any ores. Also, I found like one iron ore and I tried to burn it in the furnace and I could put the ore in, but not the coal I had. Idk. It's messed up and it's keeping me from even playing.
