Cross-platform Minecraft v1.2.1 - Can only use Page 1 in the "Book and Quill"

I have used the "Book and Quill" extensively in the XBox 360 and XBox One Editions. Today I was able to make my first Book and Quill in the new platform only to discover 1) I cannot navigate through text on the page - I can only type or delete 2) I cannot create a new page and 3) I cannot navigate to even Page 2.

Also, if it is not too much trouble - could you please enable us to 'insert' text instead of always overwriting? This is the one thing about the previous XBox versions that has always been a hassle.
