I spawned into the neither for 1st time on the New Minecraft and portal spawned in mid air causing me to fall to death in lava!

I went into neither on The new Minecraft Xbox one and it spawned me in mid air causing me to fall to death in lava! I lost all my stuff and couldn't exit without saving! I'd like a feature added to the game to exit without saving for any future deaths like this that might happen.
