Monostable circuit doesnt push block away

I recently upgraded from minecraft xbox one edition to minecraft on xbox one. monostable circuit on xbox one edition works in terms of it will make a sticky piston push a block away and not retract it, however in minecraft on the xbox one it doesnt seem to do this and instead it will retract a block using a monostable circuit.
