Red stone lamp not responding to some red stone items

I’m on iPad mini 2 and iPhone 6s 1.2.1 it’s currently doing this on both my devices I place
Red stone block torch and try to may red stone lamp turn on but it doesn’t respond to any of theses but it dose respond to the lever in some worlds
