Movement reversed after closing chest or stove

Using SteelSeries Nimbus MFI controller on iPad Pro 10.5. Hold left or right, on the movement analog stick, when closing a chest. Your movement will be reversed until you let go of the analog stick. Hold left to move right. Hold right to move left. Was able to do this every time I attempted it. Have not tested forward/backward movement.

Edit (2017.10.01): While playing, I notice that this also occurs when closing the menu on a stove.
