Can't craft anything in crafting table

As title says opening crafting, nothing is showing as craftable. This is with either ALL filter on or off. I thought this was only for existing Worlds before the update, but I've just created a new world, got some wood, and opened crafting, doesn't show anything. If you look at the Search tab, with All filter ON, you can see everything but all is red e.g. I have Spruce wood and can see Spruce Wood Planks, but cannot select it.
