Split screen unavailable

Hi there

The bug I am inquiring about is that on the Xbox one better together update when I access the servers like for example mineplex when my friend try's to join via the same Xbox (split screen ) a message pops up at the top stating splitscpreen is unavailable this is a bad bug as my friend dose not have an Xbox of his own and he was excited to play on the servers with me.
