Natural Texture pack GUI changes impossible to distinguish items

The most recent update to the natural texture pack has horribly altered the basic GUI. It's a brown with yellow text and I can barely see any of it. The icons are almost impossible to distinguish. How do I go back to the pre update version? This is unplayable. It was NOT designed for older eyes.
