Imported world being mostly overwritten

I recently updated my Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to the Better Together Update, and I imported my world from the Xbox One version to the new version. And while exploring the world, I've realized that more than half of it has been overwritten by new chunks.
Is there any way to fix this?
