minecraft pe 1.2 crashes when i open the chat

i was playing on my android tablet. brand is RCA i guess. anyway, i got o type to someone and my game crashes. later i am on my worls. i go to type a command and my game crashes again. this only happens if i open my chat. please fix this. i need the chat for commands and to tal with other players. thanks.
