Fire that is placed on top of hoppers appears invisible

Fire that is placed on top of hoppers appears invisible. You can light the fire by crouch/clicking, but the fire is invisible on top of the hopper. I can walk through the flame and catch on fire and the light source is visible, but no fire can be seen.
