Minecraft completely crashes when opening app

Minecraft will crash and go to the dashboard if I goto any app. The case for me I like to listen to music when I play so I have Spotify running but if I go into Spotify my game is restarted and Xbox goes home. This bug never happened on the Xbox one edition so I thought it was strange to happen in the Minecraft better together beta.
