Hoppers Showing as 'update!' Blocks

These blocks use to be hoppers but when I changed to beta 1.2 they changed into sponges after updating on 1/9 to 1.2. beta build 8 they changed in to these dirt blocks that say update on them I tried to block update them but nothing works
