Pumpkins don't work

I loaded a world in on the latsest beta of the Better Together upate, version 1.2.0.25, but the pumpkins don't work. I'm using a resource pack, maybe that could be the case. I can wear other items, like helmets, but as soon as I want to wear a pumpkin, my helmet drops, but I still don't have my pumpkin equipped.
