Deleted saves

All of my small saves converted successfully from MCCE. My survival world that I have been playing for the last couple of years would not. It would get to about 14% and the game would crash. After several attempts I decided to clear the saves in the Beta. I cleared the local and cloud saves. My survival world is now gone from the beta and MCCE. We were told that the beta copied the saves over and would not modify the MCCE saves. This is extremely disappointing.
