Minecraft crashes when I spend time on it...

When I enter Minecraft..and I have been playing for 10-15 minutes or more,it crashes...sometimes it doesn't sometimes it does...I don't know what to do,I've tried to turn off and on things so it won't be as laggy and crash...but I've had not luck...please fix this
