Crafting with diffrent Wood types

I am using a Acer Iconia Tab A3, running android 4.2.2

Basically i cannot make crafting tables with spruce wood planks, it wont work. same goes with sticks and other things.

Steps to reproduce:
Generate a world in survival
get any wood type other than oak
try to craft a crafting table or sticks
