Minecraft Crashing On World Building Terrain

Upon entering Minecraft when I try to open my worlds the screen starts to build and load the terrain for the world but crashes before finishing. This glitch has been going on since the 1.1 update and none of the workarounds seem to fix this issue. Please Help!
