Boat Issues With Mouse & Keyboard

When using a mouse & keyboard on the Bedrock Edition, the game does not allow players to exit boats by pressing the sneak key/button. Rather, it requires players to jump. Boats also cannot be moved forward by simply pressing the W/forward key. The boat will only move straight when both A and D are pressed, which can be very uncomfortable to do for long periods of time.

To Reproduce

On any platform of Bedrock Edition, hook up a keyboard to the game. When a player enters a boat, they will encounter the same incorrect behavior described above.
