Black screen

My daughter plays Minecraft PE on a Kindle Fire HD8. For the last three days she has not been able to get into it. She clicks on the app and it gives her a black screen for about ten seconds and then it won't load. It clicks out of the app and goes back to the main Kindle screen. Any idea on how to fix this?
