lingering item in inventory

I had wheat sides in my hot bar. I moved them to a chest, but one wheat seed kept showing up in my hot bar. I moved it again, closed the chest, and there it is again, in my hot bar. I filled my hot bar with stuff and moved the seed to the chest again, closed the chest and the seed was now in my inventory.
