Game crashes when you place a wither skull in a chest.

After killing a wither I picked up a wither skull and tired to place it in a chest while in the nether. The game froze and the screen went black then back to my home screen. I launched the game again and tried again with the same result so I thought maybe it was because I was in the nether. So I went back to the over world and tried once again but it crashed yet again. I searched this site and did not see this issue reported yet, sorry out I missed it. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S 8+ USA Sprint version.
