Animals and Creatures losing their names

I decided to name all of my dogs and horses using name tags, but after a few hours I realized two of my horses didn't have names anymore when I hovered over them. I renamed them and didn't worry about it. I woke up the next morning and checked on my Minecraft world and all of my dogs didn't have names anymore either, and another horse was missing a name. This is a case of missing name syndrome.
