Game softlocks when spaming in chat or just in chat on severs PLEASE FIX

If you /(up arrow key) to do a command 4 or 5 times (on BrokenLens server) it softlockes your computer and you have to hold down the power button to get out of it. Also in like Ownage (KitPVP) a sever I was in chat and it softlocked but in 1.1.50 like i'm in right now it happened to me 3 times! It disconnects me from my friends and is really annoying to rejoin because the sever has 7000-10000 people.
