Pause/game menu ineffective?
When I press what I think is the pause button (top right corner opens game menu) it seems the game still continues as if wasn't paused. Wonder if it is a bug because it makes it possible to die by drowning if was in the water when paused. I haven't used it when mobs were nearby to see if makes it possible for mobs to kill me too...
(device is ios ipod touch 4g survival mode)

Confirmed that it also happens with me on my iPad2&3, survival mode. It's not really paused, even when there's no other players connected to you.
Suggested fix: replace the pause icon with something else, since it's not really a pause button. Maybe a little left-facing arrow or triangle or something, to make it a back button like android?
It makes a lot more sense just to pause the game like on the desktop edition. It makes a lot more sense then making a new button graphic which would be confusing.
@Ezekiel I'm assuming the button works as intended, and the pause glyph is confusing. If pausing is really the intended behavior, then yes, it would make sense to pause the game. Otherwise, I don't see how removing the pause glyph from a button that doesn't provide pause functionality would be confusing.
Mobs still attack when paused
It also happens for the kindle series. Although I can't pause while moving, mobs and other factors like water currents still affect the player.
The game is always a client/server game and people can join your server at all times on the wifi, and pausing multiplayer games is a bit tricky as even if you're the only player it should unpause when someone enters the server, etc.
Not a bug, but sure a missing feature, put on TODO.
