Messed up fire animation

I used my flint and steel and lit the ground and there was fire and it had a white block above it

*What I expected to happen was
There just to be fire, no white block

What actually happened was...:
A white block appeared above the fire

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Lite the ground with flint and steel
2. Watch the fire
