Crashing Issue when trying to apply a texture pack

When ever I try to equip a resource pack, it crashes and then when I come back to minecraft and try to change something in the settings option, it also crashes. Then sometimes I cannot access the servers, or friends tab. I did wait a couple seconds and it seems to work
