Keybinds reset to default when in a minecart

Due to a trigger deadline issue with my controller, i had to change the key binds for minecraft for Gear VR. It works fine until i enter a minecart, then the controls go back so default, which causes problems. I am not sure if it affects minecraft PE as well as i only own the Gear VR version.
