Unable to Open Worlds After SIgning into XBL

After opening MC and hitting play (haven't automatically signed into xbox live yet), I get interrupted by the signing into xbl prompt and when it resolves and I click on a world it doesn't open. I have to re-open the game and wait until I'm signed in.
(Also lag especially with redstone)
