Tools stop breaking blocks

Step to reproduce-
1)have a pickaxe or shovel
2)break a few blocks
3) while breaking a the blocks look up or look at a block that is out of range(keep holding the left click mouse button, or continue holding your finger on the screen)
4) look back at the blocks you were breaking before.

What's supposed to happen-
When you do step 4 you should continue to break the blocks.

What happened instead-
The game stops breaking the blocks

Btw I only tried this with a shovel with efficiency 5, but I think this will affect the other tools as well, I also have had the haste 2 effect.
