Item frames fall off wall when restarting world

I decided to brighten up my 4 storey home by placing tools in item frames on my workshop wall. It looked great. HOWEVER, on returning to this sight to behold, I found that the tools had fallen off the wall, along with the item frames . I decided to put them back. HOWEVER, this tragedy struck again, but this time, the items were DELETED . Please fix this.
