Can't see anything when in swampy(muddy) water as everthing appears completely grey

When underwater in swamp biome (in muddy water) nothing can be seen except a solid colour of pastel grey , making it invisible to view even the most proximal blocks(screenshot).potion of night vision also dosen't help(screenshot), but when viewing muddy water via clear water appears fine(screenshot).
