Broken/Damaged Elytra entity icon texture not showing properly

elytra,when not completely damaged has perfect icon but when its completely damaged shows variety of invalid icons . Most of the times its an invisible icon but may change to random image, lapis icon, blaze spawn egg icon, etc.,when ever i open my world again.(as shown in screenshots)
