Crash on attempt to play

My Phone is a Samsung Note4

I have just installed minecraft PE to my phone. After loading up the main menu I click on Play. It waits there for ~1 second then crashes back to the home screen.

Being logged into or out of xbox live account makes no difference.

File storage location toggle makes no difference.
