Game all glichy, can't play minecraft with my friend.

I am having a issue, my friend and I are trying to play Minecraft, but his phone only support 0.14.0 for some reason... When he tries to install a new version like 0.15.X his phone screen it's all glitchy, like the letters are all messed up, when he tries to change his skin the game crashes and i don't know what to do, any help i should be thankful =D, His phone is a SAMSUNG POCKET PLUS, screenshots coming soon.
