Crafting box and hot-bar disappearing act than blank screen

When I open the crafting box interacting screen, if I hit my inventory (...) button I exit the crafting box interaction screen without my hotbar showing.

If I do it again, the screen goes completely blank.

Note: the game doesn't crash, but its just not viewable.
