You can make a wheat farm without any water nearby at all

It works in both creative and survival. If you hoe the ground then for some reason you can place a seed on the hoed ground without any water around. What's supposed to happen is your not allowd to place the block at all. However it will not grow but it can be bonemealed and then u get the wheat
