When you try and get items out of an item frame in creative mode, you don't get the item because it just disappears

Ever since MCPE version 0.16.1 I can never get items back from item frames in creative mode because when I try to get them back they just disappear. It doesn't do this in survival mode but I can't keep switching game modes so can you guys please fix this for maybe 1.0.6 or 1.1 because this is getting annoying
