Switching from creative to survival... everything turns black

When switching from creative to survival My world loaded like I was in the void (the black void beneath bedrock). But I wasn't under bedrock. Tried to exit game and it gave me error message that minecraft pocket edition is unresponsive, exit or wait? I exited the game.

My tablet is not listed. The selected one is not what I am using. My tablet is: Asus ZenPad 10. I am also a beta tester.
