Riding a Horse and being under a block, 5 blocks higher than the ground will cause suffocation

I'm riding a horse and am under a block 4 blocks above me and am taking damage. Also, the bubbles displayin how much air I have left when underwater display. I haven't seen this posted yet. And this is MCPE 1.1 BETA. Screenshot attached
