On Realms: Redstone ore disappears when pillaring up on it

I cannot reproduce this in single player, only on the realm I play on. When pillaring up on redstone ore the second ore you place disappears quickly after placing. It is not a problem to make horizontal rows of redstone ore, so I think the activation of the ore by the player standing on it must play a part in the bug, as well as some issue of lag or latency when playing on a realm.

I don't know if it is related to the issue of blocks disappearing when building at world height limit.
