Unable to create Bone block

In Win10 I cannot create Bone Blocks using a crafting table and 9 bone meal. I'm using Win10 ver1.0 on a HP15 Notebook PC. Is this not available in Win10?

Please note. I can't find the exact version that I am playing so chose 1.0.4.0. When I bring up patch notes it just says 'Ender Update'. Can you advise me where I can find the version details for my game please.
