Lingering potions being randomly thrown w/out touching anything

When throwing some lingering potions at a horse in creative mode, I accidentally mounted the horse. I quickly dismounted but then it started randomly throwing a bunch of lingering potions all over the place even though my hands weren't touching the screen.
