Minecraft PE on Chromebook

As many of us know the pc version of minecraft is not supported on a chromebook but recently chromebooks are now able to run android apps. I was happy until I was greeted with "This device is not compatible with this version" even though it has a touchscreen! Why is that? I'm sure it's able to run it even if it isn't super smooth.

PS I didn't know what to put as a device that should also be fixed... It isn't really a phone.
