My creative world is unresponsive and what I've built doesn't disappear

When one of my creative worlds loads, the world looks blue like I am in the sky or black like nighttime, and I can only see my controller and inventory; no actual world (trees, ground etc) show up. All the rest of this world seems to have disappeared, and my commands are very very slow to respond. Once in a while (after 5-10 mins) some buildings will show up and the ground appears , only to all disappear quickly. All my other worlds work fine.
